Service Families
At BSL we have a large proportion of families from a Service background - often around 80%. We are experienced in supporting families and our children are fabulous at welcoming new classmates at anytime of the year.
We offer Service children, who may have a parent heading for a deployment or currently on deployment, a lunchtime 'Military Club'. This is a space for them to spend time with other children going through a similar experience and a chance to talk about how they might be feeling. Please make sure we know if your child would like to come to this club.
We also now offer special packs for families to borrow for when a family member is going away.
These include: far apart hearts and flowers (kindly handmade by one of our lovely parents), different books, talking tins to record a message to keep at school and a diary.
