Our Curriculum Vision

We treat children as individuals and nurture the many wonderful skills, gifts and talents that they have.

We foster independence, social interaction and creativity in a rich environment, where children are valued by staff and by one another.

We teach an exciting and engaging curriculum, which follows many themes to give the children experiences that will develop both their skills and knowledge. Our approach is a balance between play, child initiated and teaching skills such as speaking and listening, reading, writing and maths.

We follow the Early Years Foundation stage curriculum and statutory guidance.

'What to Expect When’ is a very helpful and informative document, produced by ‘4 Children’ which is supported by the Department for Education. It is guidance for your child’s learning during the Early Years Foundation Stage which runs from birth until the end of the Reception Class year.

The document begins with ‘How to Use this Guide’ and explains the 7 areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage. It demonstrates how it can be used as a reference to what your child can do and/or use it as a prompt to explore new things together.
