Bulford St Leonard’s Primary School are looking to recruit an inspiring year 1 class teacher who can effectively raise outcomes for learners. You should be able to deliver an excellent quality of teaching and learning and be passionate about raising standards.

One to One Teaching Assistant

Start date: As soon as possible

Salary: Grade D/E depending on experience (£10,663 - £ 11542) actual salary per annum

Hours of work: 25 hours per week over 5 days

Contract Term: Temporary

Bulford St Leonards Primary School are looking to recruit an experienced person to complement our existing excellent team of support staff on a contract linked to a named pupil in KS1. The role will involve working with the pupil on a 1:1 basis, supporting them to engage in activities both in and out of the classroom.

Successful candidates must have A - C GCSE, or equivalent grades in English and Maths, a teaching assistant qualification or able to demonstrate experience of working with children in an educational setting. You must be able to evidence recent knowledge, understanding and experience of working with children with a range of special educational needs.

Candidates need to be flexible in their approach to supporting children’s needs in the classroom and at lunchtimes, stay calm under pressure and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with children and adults. They need to be able to gain the confidence of children who may be behaviourally challenging or socially withdrawn and have a clear understanding of the complex role necessary to support children with additional needs.

You will need to have excellent time management and organisational skills and be able to show creativity and endless positivity alongside the teacher and other staff. We would also expect you to be able to evidence that you are committed to ongoing professional development
