On Wednesday 7th March, children at Bulford St Leonard’s Primary School celebrated World Book Day. It was wonderful to see so many wonderful outfits – can you guess which book characters the children came dressed as?
In the lead up to the day, the whole school read ‘A Child of Books’ by Oliver Jeffers and used it as an inspiration for their work. They wrote their own stories based on the book, created art works inspired by the illustrations in the book and composed musical pieces for the pictures in the book.
Children have all received a £1 book token which they can use to purchase a free World Book Day book. These are available at a number of shops. Alternatively, the token can be used towards the cost of any book of your choice. We look forward to seeing the different books that children pick!
